Perfectly complemented by a contemporary bold gold surround two vibrant pink Burmese cushion cut sapphires (4.22cts) have been expertly claw set, and command attention as the centrepiece of these stunning hoop drop earrings. Both sapphires set into these earrings are accompanied by certification from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory to confirm that they have not been subjected to any heat treatment to enhance their colour. Designed by a member of the Pragnell family the soft lines of the central sapphires have been expertly complemented by richly polished buttery 18ct yellow gold mounts. Small sparkling brilliants (0.19ct) have been intricately set around the sides of each sapphire, excitingly catching admiring glances when the drop elements move with the wearer. These elements are easily removeable from the hoop sections enabling the wearer to style effortlessly with their mood. Before deposits were discovered elsewhere in the 1990s, Burma was one of only three locations where pink sapphires were found, and is still looked to for the finest stones.
