About Patek Philippe Nautilus
Few watches have the iconic status of the hugely sought after Nautilus, designed by the legendary Gerald Genta, and launched by Patek Philippe forty-five years ago in 1976. Displaying a tactile rugged design that was inspired by the structure and hinges of a ship’s porthole, this was something completely fresh and new. The Nautilus family has grown massively over the past decades, with numerous models being added, and the initial steel 3700/1A reference being replaced by the 5711/1A in 2006.
The current range showcases thirty models that catch the eye in hand brushed and polished steel, white and rose gold. Highlighted on a mixture of intricate bracelets and leather straps, owning a Patek Philippe Nautilus is a huge achievement for any watch collector. The 5712 is particularly special with its instantly recognisable blue dial and power reserve, date and moon phase complications. A handful of pieces also sparkle with colourless diamonds; the 7118/1405R-001 dazzling with a snow-set case that is one of the most difficult and complicated stone setting techniques.
Adored by the likes of Brad Pitt and Victoria Beckham the Patek Nautilus is as fresh and new today as it was in the later 1970s. Pragnell have offered the Nautilus range since it was launched and proudly continue to do so to this day.
