Bvlgari Story
Sotirios Voulgaris founded the House of Bvlgari in 1884, and chose the Eternal city of Rome as a home. The combination of a Greek heritage, and the rich artistic and cultural presence of Rome ensured statement and iconic styles soon abounded. The first watches from the House were closely linked to their jewellery collections, and showcased the strong lines and geometric forms of the Art Deco period. Forever linked with the golden age of Hollywood Bvlgari wristwatches have been worn by the likes of Dame Elizabeth Taylor and more recently Bradley Cooper. During the course of the 20th century a wide range of statement watches for both ladies and gentlemen were produced with the now iconic tubogas Serpenti appearing in the 1940s.
Octo Collection
A relative newcomer, the Octo range was first seen in 2012, and is completely unmistakeable due to its distinctive eight-sided octagonal case shape. Continuing a key focus of the House this eye-catching shape was inspired by the ancient architecture seen in the Roman Forum. Signifying good luck, wealth and success this range was a true result of the House refocusing its manufacturing network, and combining classic Bvlgari style with the very best Swiss watchmaking skills. Celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2022 the current range comprises over twenty models in the Finissimo and Roma collections, which showcase exceptional complications, and are all designed and made in Switzerland.
