Pragnell and The King’s Trust
Pragnell are incredibly proud to be an ongoing Patron of The King’s Trust.
The King’s Trust is committed to ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or the obstacles they encounter. They assist young individuals from underserved communities and those facing significant hardships by empowering them to develop the confidence and skills necessary to live, learn, and achieve financial independence.
Over the years, Pragnell has supported The Prince's Trust by providing apprenticeships and backing charitable initiatives. We are committed to continuing this support as the Trust transitions into The King's Trust following King Charles's ascension to the throne.
Invest In Futures
Pragnell proudly supported the 2019 'Invest in Futures' annual gala dinner and key fundraising event for The King's Trust, donating a beautiful 18ct yellow gold diamond charm pendant, which was auctioned on the night. The pendant showcased a charm of Everest's summit, featuring a brilliant 1ct diamond set in a rub-over style with a G colour rating. This remarkable diamond wasn't just a piece of jewellery; it had accompanied Lucy Rivers Bulkeley to the peak of Everest.
Lucy gained recognition in 2010 as the first European woman to complete the '4 Deserts Grand Slam,' an incredible feat that involved a self-supported trek of 250km across the Atacama, Gobi, Sahara, and Antarctic deserts. She has since embarked on the demanding 7 Summits Challenge, which requires climbing the highest peak on each continent.
King’s Trust Apprentice
The Pragnell watch workshops continue to go from strength to strength. With continued investment in our state-of-the-art facilities that have awarded us ‘certified status’ from Rolex, Patek Philippe and Omega, a 6-bench workshop in Leicester and a brand-new workshop in Stratford-upon-Avon we are proud to be able to service watches in-house.
It’s not only the advanced technology we’re proud of. As a patron of The King’s Trust, Pragnell supports young talent in becoming qualified watchmakers. Once qualified, they continue learning their craft as apprentices in the Pragnell watch workshop.
