About Breitling Chronomat Watches
Introduced in 1984, the Breitling Chronomat was originally designed specifically for the Frecce Tricolori flight team. Since then, the collection has become established as one of the most revered of the Breitling portfolio. Dedicated to performance, sporting feats and personal limits, the Breitling Chronomat boasts both style and functionality in equal proportion.
Aviators have entrusted Breitling’s robust outer shells to protect the internal mechanical movements from everyday wear and tear, as well as extreme external conditions such as shock, friction, water and vibration. As a result, Breitling have earned their status as makers of true professional instruments for every imaginable challenge. The Chronomat’s ultra-hard and scratch-proof constructions used to secure the brand’s leading mechanical self-winding Swiss movements are water resistant and feature a number of different finishes.
Like all Breitling watches, the Chronomat collection consists of watches that have been finished on sapphire crystal glass fronts. The glass has been treated with scratch-resistant and anti-reflective properties on both sides, to equip the wearer with an instantly legible dial, without any unnecessary glare. Chronomat models embody everything for which Breitling stands: precision, speed and adrenaline. Each timepiece comes equipped with a chronometer-certified movement that is all manufactured by Breitling in their workshops, the only watch brand in the world to have achieved this. The founder of the modern chronograph, Breitling continues to preserve the aeronautical legacy into which its own history has been woven.
