A Burma Ruby Necklace

From Mine to Masterpiece: introducing a captivating 39.04ct Masterpiece Burma ruby necklace showcasing stones sourced from the revered Mogok Mines, renowned for their rich, fiery red colour and unparalleled quality.

Ratnaraj

‘The King of Precious Stones’

Rubies are one of the most historically significant coloured stones, frequently associated with the attributes of beauty and wisdom. They were so revered by the Sanskrit people, they called them Ratnaraj, the "King of precious stones."

Burma rubies, first mined as early as AD 600, are renowned for their unique, vibrant red, with the finest examples referred to as "Pigeon Blood" in colour due to their exceptionally rich hue. These stones often exhibit fluorescence, causing them to appear to ‘glow’ in daylight — a captivating natural phenomenon that enhances their allure.
