Antique Victorian Scarab and Seal Pendant in 18ct Yellow Gold

Description
A detailed carved cornelian scarab beetle forms the centrepiece of this immensely wearable pendant. Originally an elegant stick pin from the Victorian period, this was designed to take pride of place in the lapel of a jacket. Crafted in 18ct yellow gold, this beautiful jewel showcases the Victorian interest in ancient Egypt, with many tombs containing scarab beetle amulets and impression seals being found during this period. Surrounded by a detailed twisted rope effect frame, the scarab can be rotated by the wearer. Expertly converted by the Pragnell workshops into a stylish pendant, this has been paired with a simple 18ct yellow gold 46cm chain.
