Description
A commanding platinum, diamond, and Kashmir sapphire Trombino ring from our Masterpiece Collection. A securely rub over set intense velvety blue 4.21ct square cut Kashmir sapphire captures the eye at the centre of this beautiful dress ring. Broad shoulders have been expertly set with a combination of tapered baguette and brilliant cut diamonds to both embrace and define this rare and exceptional stone.
Inspired by our extensive collection of Art Deco pieces the design of this ring originates from the 1930s when the Italian House of Bvlgari produce the now iconic 'little trumpet' style to showcase rare and exceptional gemstones and diamonds.
Few gemstones are rarer than Kashmir sapphires, which originate from the legendary Kashmir mine in Northern India. This mine only yielded these remarkable electric blue sapphires for a few years at the end of the 19th-century, and was largely depleted by 1887. As such, these sapphires are only found in existing pieces of antique jewellery either remaining in their original settings or having been remounted in the Art Deco or Retro periods. This example was hand selected by a member of the Pragnell family, and has been remounted in this stunning setting. Our six generations of experience ensures that the history and rarity of this sapphire has been perfectly understood with a new setting that expertly balances history and modernity.
All Pragnell Masterpiece creations are unique expressions of our rich history of being part of the most special moments in our clients' lives. Handcrafted in our workshops in the heart of England they showcase exceptional artistry, craftsmanship and gemstones.
