Description
A superb mid-summer green 18.99ct emerald cut Colombian emerald has been secured by four platinum claws as the centrepiece of our Muzo Masterpiece Collar. This intricate and expertly crafted jewel is composed of beautifully articulated platinum links. The main links feature arrangements of brilliant (18.44cts) and carré cut (16.40cts) diamonds, which have been separated by slim onyx set spacer examples. The contrast between the white sparkle from the diamonds and intense midnight black onyx is a distinct homage to the famed Art Deco period. Nestled beneath the verdant rainforests that cover the country, the Colombian mines are famous for producing stones that have an intense green colour. Hand selected by a member of the Pragnell family, and expertly reset from an antique jewel that had become too worn to repair this important gemstone is likely to have originated from the famed old Muzo mine. It is accompanied by certification (AGL) to confirm that it has only been subjected to minor treatment to enhance its colour and clarity. As a sixth-generation family jeweller Pragnell are experts at sourcing the rarest and most sought-after gemstones in the world. All Pragnell Masterpiece creations are unique expressions of our rich history of being part of the most special moments in our clients' lives.
