We are committed to clearly communicating the country of manufacture for each piece — a principle rooted in ethical practice and long standing membership of the Responsible Jewellery Council. We work exclusively with suppliers and mines that uphold exceptional environmental and social standards.
A Heritage of Artisanship
Over the past decade, we have curated a global network of specialist workshops, enabling us to collaborate with outstanding craftspeople across every discipline of fine jewellery making. Alongside this, we directly employ and train artisans in Great Britain, ensuring traditional skills are preserved and passed through generations. All Pragnell jewellery is designed and developed in Great Britain, by members of the family.
Craftsmanship in Our British Workshops
The vast majority of Pragnell jewellery is handmade in our British workshops, two of which an be viewed inside our Stratford-upon-Avon and Leicester showrooms. Here, specialists in stone setting, CAD design, chain making and polishing, work with meticulous precision to uphold our exceptional standards. The remaining pieces are created in partner ateliers in Italy, the United States, Switzerland, and Germany, chosen for their generational expertise and revered craft traditions.

Craftsmanship by Region
Italy
Masters of Gold Chain Making
Italian jewellery from our partner workshops reflects a long tradition of exceptional gold chain making. Most Pragnell chains are produced in Italy, ensuring the highest quality, except for the Pragnell handmade English Chain, which is crafted by a specialist artisan in Great Britain.
United States
Precision Cutting and Setting
Our relationship with American workshops began during Managing Director Charlie Pragnell’s training in New York, where he built connections with expert goldsmiths and diamond cutters. In these workshops, calibre-cut diamonds can be shaped and set side by side with extraordinary skill.
Switzerland
Specialists in Rare Gemstone Setting
In Geneva, Switzerland, our specialist artisans carefully polish and set exceptionally rare, high-quality gemstones. Often sourced from antique pieces, these investment grade stones may require restoration after centuries of wear before becoming part of a new Pragnell creation.
Germany
Excellence in Coloured Gemstones
Germany’s acclaimed heritage in jewellery manufacture and long history of coloured gemstone cutting is reflected in our partnerships with skilled workshops. Together, these collaborations produce pieces that showcase rare, coloured gems and uphold generations of German craftsmanship.
A Mark of Origin and Craft
To honour the expertise behind every piece, we have introduced five origin marks, each representing where your Pragnell jewel has been crafted:
• The Pragnell Falcon — Great Britain
• The Centurion — Italy
• The Statue of Liberty — United States
• The Mountains — Switzerland
• The Black Eagle — Germany
These marks provide clients with immediate clarity on craftsmanship provenance and reflect our commitment to quality, craft, and transparency.
