Vintage Chaumet Jewellery

Chaumet, founded in 1780 by Marie-Étienne Nitot, is a renowned French jeweller and watchmaker. Located at 12 Place Vendôme, it’s the first jeweller to open a boutique in this iconic square. Throughout history, Chaumet has crafted exquisite pieces for royalty and the aristocracy, notably for Empress Joséphine.

Jean-Baptiste Fossin, Nitot’s apprentice and successor, took over in 1835. Though not a blood relative, Fossin upheld the Maison’s artistic traditions and reputation.
