About Santos De Cartier Watches
The world’s first Pilots wristwatch. The Santos De Cartier was created in 1904 when Louis Cartier met with his Brazilian aviator friend Alberto Santos-Dumont. He asked for a watch that allowed his hands to remain free for controls while flying. Seven years later in 1911, it was officially available to the public. Since then the Cartier Santos has enjoyed many incarnations, such as the Santos Galibee, Santos XL and the Santos Dumont.
