Stellar 2.71ct Namibian Indicolite Tourmaline and Diamond Bombe Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold
Emerald & Tapered Baguette Cut, Rubover Set
Description
A bold 18ct yellow gold, indicolite tourmaline and diamond ring from our Stellar Collection. A distinctive greenish-blue tourmaline (2.17ct) takes centre stage perfectly complemented by two baguette cut diamonds (0.63ct) set on either side. The tourmaline set into this ring originated from the Erongo region of Namibia, which produces exceptional examples with indicolite, ‘lagoon’ and ‘mint’ tones. Most of the miners work in small independent groups sharing the profits equally from this important gemstone that symbolises prosperity and hope. Pragnell are proud to showcase this breath-taking non-heated Erongo indicolite tourmaline, which has been hand selected by the family for its superlative colour, clarity and size. As a sixth-generation family run business the Pragnell family are delighted to support the cooperative run mine, which focuses on the welfare of the miners and the local community. This style of ring became popular during the Victorian and Edwardian periods when statement diamonds and gemstones were set (either singly or in trios) into wide gold or platinum bands. Named in honour of the wonderous colours displayed by stars each piece that forms the Stellar Collection is completely one-of-a-kind and is the perfect choice for an unconventional engagement or ultra-modern cocktail ring. All Pragnell creations are unique expressions of our rich history of being part of the most special moments in our clients' lives. Handcrafted in our workshops in the heart of England they offer the superb quality of the Pragnell Seal, and showcase exceptional artistry, craftsmanship and gemstones.
