Stellar 1.29ct Burmese Ruby and Diamond Bombé Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold
Cushion Antique Cut, Rubover Set
Description
A bold 18ct yellow gold, ruby and diamond ring from our Stellar Collection. A vibrant red Burmese ruby (1.29ct) takes centre stage perfectly complemented by two pear cut diamonds (0.37ct) set either side. This style of ring became popular during the Victorian and Edwardian periods when statement diamonds and gemstones were set (either singly or in trios) into wide gold or platinum bands. The vivid colour displayed by the finest Burmese rubies (known as Pigeon’s Blood) is hugely sought after by gemstone collectors and connoisseurs across the globe. The example showcased here is truly superb, and accompanied by certification from the German Foundation for Gemstne Research, to confirm its colour is completely natural and has not been enhanced by any heat treatment. Named in honour of the wonderous colours displayed by stars each piece that forms the Stellar Collection is completely one-of-a-kind and is the perfect choice for an unconventional engagement or ultra-modern cocktail ring. All Pragnell creations are unique expressions of our rich history of being part of the most special moments in our clients' lives. Handcrafted in our workshops in the heart of England they offer the superb quality of the Pragnell Seal, and showcase exceptional artistry, craftsmanship and gemstones.
