Oval Cut 6.63ct Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold and Platinum

A showpiece 18ct yellow gold, platinum and oval cut sea blue sapphire ring commands attention. Few gemstones have the impact of bright blue sapphires, which come alive in the light and almost glow with electric tones of cool blue. A beautiful 6.63ct oval cut example is showcased here, which has been secured by slim claws, and perfectly accentuated by a surrounding halo of sparkling brilliant cut diamonds (1.76ct). This classic design is similar to the example worn by The Princess of Wales who received a 12ct oval cut sapphire ring on her engagement to Prince William in 2010. This ring was made by Garrard, and previously belonged to Diana Princess of Wales who was presented with it by the Prince of Wales on their engagement in 1981.
