Natural Pearl and 1.08ct Diamond Drop Pendant in 18ct Yellow Gold
Cushion Antique Cut, Claw Set
Description
A delicate 18ct yellow gold, natural pearl and diamond drop pendant. Two rare and lustrous natural pearls take centre stage, suspended between a sparkling antique cushion cut diamond (1.08ct). The pearls set into this pendant were originally part of an intricate Edwardian brooch, and have been expertly remodelled in the Pragnell workshops. The central diamond perfectly complements these superb pearls and is accompanied by certification from the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) confirming colourless (D) and Internally Flawless grades. Natural pearls were incredibly sought after during the Edwardian period (1901-1910), as they were plucked from the depths by only the bravest of divers. The largest and most lustrous examples of natural pearls were worth far more than diamonds, and were worn with pride by royalty and the aristocracy. A truly delicate and feminine jewel that will look stunning worn to celebrate a summer wedding, when the warm sun will illuminate the lustrous pearls and cause the diamond to subtly sparkle.
