A romantic ruby and diamond ring from the Venus collection. Featuring a central 4.02ct oval cut Mozambique ruby that has been secured by four hand shaped 18ct yellow gold claws. This beautiful stone has been complemented by two romantic heart cut diamonds that have been set either side (1.14cts). Over the last decade the East African country of Mozambique has yielded some of the finest, most vibrant and sought after gem quality rubies in the world. The stunning example set into this ring is accompanied with certification from the GRS laboratory (Gem Research Swiss lab) to confirm that it has been subjected to heat treatment to enhance its colour and clarity. Rubies and diamonds have traditionally been combined in jewellery with rubies representing passion and devotion, and diamonds love and prosperity. Both the diamonds set into this ring are also accompanied by certification from the GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) to confirm sought after F colour and VS2 clarity grades. The romantic Pragnell Venus setting has been inspired by the Botticelli masterpiece with the tactile curved forms of the central gemstone reminding us of the shell that supported the Goddess as she arrived on the island of Cyprus.
