Masterpiece Asscher Cut 10.02ct Diamond Artemis Link Necklace in 18ct Yellow Gold

An exquisite sparkling 10.02ct Asscher cut diamond forms the centrepiece of one of the latest creations from our Masterpiece Collection. Secured by four double sets of expertly polished, warm, 18ct yellow gold, hand-shaped talon claws, this impressive gemstone captivates with entrancing pavilion facets. This profound diamond has been set as the centrepiece of a stunning drop pendant necklace, inspired by our extensive collection of jewellery from the Art Deco period (1911-1940). An angled, geometric, Grecian aesthetic frame surrounds the sides and bottom section of the main stone and has been set with sparkling brilliant cut diamonds. The drop pendant element is connected to the necklace by a shield step-cut diamond (1.54ct), continuing the display of geometric forms. The necklace itself is composed of a combination of plain polished and brilliant diamond set (2.16ct) yellow gold octagonal elements, and features twelve smaller Asscher cut diamonds (11.92cts). All of the Asscher cut diamonds set into this necklace are accompanied by certification from the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), with the central example graded as J colour and VVS2 clarity. First seen in the early 20th century, the larger and wider-set facets of the Asscher cut gained huge popularity, due to the eye-catching scintillation produced by this special cut. A bold design, this necklace reminds us of the statement pieces worn by the famed prima donna, Anna Case, and socialite, Evalyn Walsh McLean, during the 1930s.
