Description
Crafted from lustrous and durable platinum an impressive total of 165.81cts of secure spectacle set hand selected gemstones (160.42cts of oval cut pastel spinels, and 5.39cts of brilliant cut diamonds) resonate with spring hyacinth tones of pastel pink, purple and blue. Spinel's have gained huge popularity over the past decade but have been known in jewellery for centuries. Before science could be used to differentiate gemstones, spinels and rubies were classed as the same stone. Occurring in a rich variety of different colours, examples showcasing the purest and most unusual colour tones are incredibly popular. An expert combination of two iconic different cut styles ensures that each spinel and diamond beautifully catch the light and comes alive when worn. Long necklaces have been popular throughout jewellery history with the Edwardian and Art Deco periods favouring this style of necklace to cascade over the corseted bodices of the early 20th-century, and the more loose-fitting textured gowns of the 1920s. Inspired by our extensive collection of long necklaces from these periods the dramatic length of this piece ensures that it can be worn to its full length or easily layered into more shorter styles. It can even be wound around the wrist to become a glamourous statement bracelet.
