The inscriptions on the barrel cover harmoniously merge with the reimagined case, creating a unique dynamic that suggests rotation. The three-dimensional dial profile highlights the individuality of the carbon, with each piece being unique due to the unique arrangement of carbon fibres. The creation of the Convexe carbon case was a monumental task; it necessitated eight times the pressure typically used in the industry, yielding a carbon that is denser yet just as light. The fine watchmaking finishes of Greubel Forsey—satin, matte, and relief engraving—beautifully accentuate the natural patterns of the carbon fibres, meticulously aligned with the converging lines on the case. The carbon fibres, ranging in thickness from 1 to 5 microns, are both flexible and robust, and are precisely controlled and defined. The Double Balancier Convexe movement, manually wound, features two balance wheels positioned side by side at a 30° angle, connected by a constant spherical differential visible between 6 and 7 o’clock. This sixth Fundamental Invention reduces the margin of error by half in each 4-minute interval, upholding Greubel Forsey’s standards of performance, precision, and reliability.
