Georgian Ruby & Diamond Floral Cluster Ring 0.45ct in 18ct Yellow Gold & Silver

This has been securely rub over set into warm 18ct yellow gold, and surrounded by eight rose cut diamonds (0.65ct). These have been set into silver, and feature closed back settings. Yellow gold split shoulders showcase scroll work patterns, and feature two smaller rub over set rubies. A partially split joined shank completes this design, which combines two symbolic gemstones. True Georgian craftsmanship can be seen in both the combination of gold and silver, and the exquisite details that define this beautiful ring. Dating to around 1790 (George III) this ring would have been worn by a wealthy individual during the period.
