Each link has been hand-polished to ensure a unique radiance when worn against the skin. Small sparkling brilliant cut diamonds (3.044ct) fully adorn one link and continue onto the delicate collars that define each link making up the necklace. This collection has been designed by members of the Pragnell family, who visited Egypt to see the wonders of this ancient civilisation. Masters of intricate goldwork and gemstone jewellery, barrel-shaped bead or 'Sha'bi' pattern designs in gold and precious gemstones were found in the three-thousand-year-old tombs of the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh, Tutankhamun. Discovered in 1922, the wonders of ancient Egyptian gold jewellery captured the imaginations of the most famous jewellery Houses in the world. This collection pays homage to the last pharaoh, Cleopatra, whose beauty has become legendary.
