Art Deco Linzeler et Marchak diamond Bracelet 12.45ct in Platinum
Brilliant cut, Claw set
Description
An eye -catching old cut diamond set geometric bracelet by the House of Linzeler et Marchak from the Art Deco period. Perfect to wear independently, or stack with other bracelets in your collection eleven bold square links elegantly encircle the wrist. These statement geometric forms showcase one hundred and twenty-one romantically sparkling old cut diamonds, which have been joined together by bar elements set with further old cuts. Expert craftsmanship can be seen in the supremely flexible construction of this piece, which can be taken on and off the wrist with ease. The house of Linzeler et Marchak was founded in 1922 when two jewellers (the Parisian Robert Linzeler, and the Russian Alexander Marchak) joined forces. Both were descended from families of prominent jewellers, and were lauded at the renowned Paris exhibition held in 1925. Dissolving the partnership later that year pieces bearing the Linzeler et Marchak signature are sought after for their combination of superb design and craftsmanship. The Art Deco period (1911-1940) was hugely important for jewellery and the wider decorative arts. Bracelets were particularly important as fashions exposed the wrists and arms with glamourous evening entertainments becoming more and more popular.
