Antique Art Deco Jadeite & Diamond Earrings in Platinum
Jadeite Drop Earrings, with Old Cut Diamonds
Description
A distinctive and interesting pair of platinum, jadeite and diamond (1.54ct) pendant earrings from the Art Deco period. Elegant, pear shaped, vibrant, green jadeite cabochons are suspended from diamond set platinum drop sections that have been intricately millegrain edged. Three articulated different sized diamond set half dome shapes add interest and movement, and are suspended from a further three single stones. These earrings are topped by circular polished jadeite cabochons that have been securely claw set and surrounded by a diamond set circle. Jadeite and diamonds were often combined in the Art Deco period, with the naturalistic spring like green Jadeite being perfectly complemented by sparkling diamonds. The popularity of jadeite has soared in the past few years, with examples seen on the red carpet and featuring in the collections of both the Duchess of Cambridge and the Countess of Wessex.
