Description
A striking ring in gleaming platinum that showcases the pure contrast between strong geometric lines and curved forms, which became so well-known during the Art Deco period (1911-1940). A tactile and alluring central 1.00ct romantic old cut diamond has been secured by six sturdy claws. The design has been completed by a striking arrangement of baguette cut diamonds (0.14ct) and trilliant cut sea blue sapphires (0.16ct). One hundred years ago, the discovery of the tomb of the Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun had a huge impact on Art Deco design, with many shapes and forms used in jewellery that were found in the tomb being quickly adopted. The Art Deco period is renowned for finely designed and crafted jewellery; this piece celebrates the architectural influences of the time.
