Stellar 1.60ct Paraiba Tourmaline and Diamond Bombé Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold
Oval Cut, Rubover Set
Description
A striking 18ct yellow gold Paraiba tourmaline and diamond three stone ring from our Stellar Collection. A neon blue-green Paraiba tourmaline gemstone (1.595ct) takes centre stage perfectly complemented by two pear cut diamonds (0.80ct) set either side. This style of ring became popular during the Victorian and Edwardian periods when statement diamonds and gemstones were set (either singly or in trios) into wide gold or platinum bands. Paraiba tourmalines are relatively new to the gemstone world having first been discovered in Brazil during the 1980s. Their unique neon colour caused examples to become hugely sought after, and with the original Brazilian mines now largely exhausted, further smaller deposits have been found in Nigeria and Mozambique. Each gemstone has been hand selected by a member of the Pragnell family for its captivating allure. Named in honour of the wonderous colours displayed by stars each piece that forms the Stellar Collection is completely one-of-a-kind, and is the perfect choice for an unconventional engagement or ultra-modern cocktail ring. All Pragnell Masterpiece creations are unique expressions of our rich history of being part of the most special moments in our clients' lives. Handcrafted in our workshops in the heart of England they offer the superb quality of the Pragnell Seal, and showcase exceptional artistry, craftsmanship and gemstones.
