Masterpiece Regency 5.19ct Colombian Emerald and Diamond Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold & Platinum
Rectangular Step Cut, Claw Set
Description
A classic emerald ring that features a vibrant 5.19ct Colombian rectangular step cut emerald. Nestled beneath the verdant rainforests that cover the country, the Colombian mines are famous for producing stones that have an intense pure green colour. Secured by four expertly hand shaped yellow gold corner claws, this modern ring has been designed in homage to the Art Deco period. The recognisable geometric forms that are so well-known from jewellery produced in this era are visible in both the central stone and the slim tapering baguette cut diamonds (0.76ct) that have been set into the top sections of each shoulder. This classic design enhances the beauty of the legendary Colombian emerald, known to be pure green in colour with glowing qualities. This stone has been certified by the renowned Gubelin laboratory to confirm a Colombian origin, and that it has only been subjected to minor treatment to enhance its colour and clarity.
